Privacy Notice
This notice describes how pilotops.io processes personal data when you use this website or its contact form.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
Igor Sydorov
PilotOps
Florastraße 57
42553 Velbert
Deutschland
E-Mail: igor@pilotops.io
2. Contact and the enquiry form
The form sends your request to the operator. You pick a topic (what you need help with), optionally give your name, give your email address and describe the task. The address of the site page you were on is sent with the request. If the submission does not go through, the text stays in your browser and you can copy it and send it by email yourself.
Before sending, the request is checked to come from a human: Cloudflare Turnstile issues a one-time token that is sent with the request and verified on the Cloudflare side.
The request reaches a Cloudflare Worker at api.pilotops.io, not the server that hosts the website itself. The Worker does not write the content of your request into logs.
Purpose and legal basis
If you send us an email, we use the contact details and request information it contains to process and answer your enquiry. Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). Consent is not used as a legal basis (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): the site does not ask for a separate consent to the processing.
Website preferences
The browser may store local preferences for your selected language and visual theme. The text of your request is transmitted to the operator only at the moment when you press the send button yourself.
Technical data when visiting
When you access the site, the hosting infrastructure processes technical data needed to deliver the pages, including IP addresses and request details. The site is hosted on a Hetzner server in Nuremberg, Germany. The server serves static files and does not keep per-request log lines.
Automated decisions
We do not use automated decisions with legal effects or profiling in relation to enquiries.
3. Recipients of data
The request passes through the following processors:
- Cloudflare — accepting the request at api.pilotops.io, checking its origin, rate limiting the number of requests, and verifying Turnstile. The rate limit keeps only a counter per IP address; the content of your request is not stored in it.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checking that the request was sent by a human; Cloudflare processes the one-time token and the visitor IP address.
- Resend — delivering the email with your request to igor@pilotops.io; Resend processes the content of the email in order to deliver it. Your own email address is set as the address to reply to.
- Cloudflare Email Routing — forwarding the delivered email to the operator mailbox.
- Google (Gmail) — the mailbox in which your request is stored.
- Hetzner — the hosting company whose server in Nuremberg runs the website itself; it processes the technical data of your visit (IP address and request details), but it never receives the content of your enquiry: the request goes to a Cloudflare Worker, not to that server.
There are no other recipients of the information in your enquiry: the email is sent only to the operator address given above. Cloudflare, Resend and Google are US companies, so processing may take place outside the European Union; their own terms and privacy policies set out the applicable conditions and safeguards.
4. Retention
The content of the request is kept in the operator mailbox for as long as necessary to handle the request and to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time by writing to igor@pilotops.io. The periods of processing and storage by the vendors themselves (Cloudflare, Resend, Google) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data, where the legal requirements are met;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest;
- receive the data you provided in a portable electronic format (data portability);
- withdraw any consent you may have given, with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, write to igor@pilotops.io.
6. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority depends on your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. In particular, you may contact the supervisory authority responsible for the controller's place of residence.
7. Security
The request is transmitted over HTTPS to the Cloudflare Worker, and the email with it is delivered through Resend. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive information in an initial enquiry.
